Dr. Erdem Çağlar was born in Bursa in 1985. In 2003, he graduated from Bursa Anatolian High School. In the same year, he got into Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty. After graduating from medical faculty, he worked as a resident in Taksim Training and Research Hospital, Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Department between the years of 2009 and 2014. He wrote his thesis on rhinoplasty, “The Effect of Time of Lateral Osteotomies in Rhinoplasty on Postoperative Periorbital Edema and Ecchymosis.” He worked as Otorhinolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon in Kızıltepe State Hospital between 2014-2016. After completing the compulsory service in Mardin, he started to work as academic member in Yeni Yüzyıl University Medical Faculty Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital, Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Department in 2016. He worked there between 2016-2019.
Dr. Erdem Caglar, who is aware of the importance of continous professional development, tries to attend various vocational educations and courses. Between the years of 2014 and 2017, he attended “Temporal Bone Surgical Dissection Course” at University of Michigan, in USA, “Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course with Fresh Cadaver” and “Vestibular Disorders, ENG/VNG Course” in Turkey, “Functional Endoscopic Sinus Techniques & Endoscopic Rhino-Neurosurgery From Basic Diagnosis and Surgery to Advanced Applications Course” at University of Graz in Austria.
He has 10 international and 4 national articles published in different journals.
